Howard C. Coleman, BS, BA, Chairman, CEO, founded the company in 1987 as a forensic and paternity DNA testing laboratory and is a recognized pioneer in DNA testing commercialization. In 2000, he led the company's expansion into the personalized medicine marketplace by implementing the marketing of DNA Drug Sensitivity Testing. Since 2005 Coleman has focused on fostering the development of GeneMedRx and expansion of DNA Drug Sensitivity Testing.
Tia Aulinskas, PhD. MSc, Director, Chief Scientific Officer, co-founded the company and has 20+ years experience as a DNA testing laboratory director. Licenses she has secured for the company include those from the American Society of Blood Banks and The New York State Department of Health. Dr. Aulinskas oversees company laboratory operations including new technology implementation and projects for pharmaceutical companies, hospitals and individual clients.
Kristine Ashcraft, BS, MBA, Chief Operating Officer, a molecular biologist by training, Ms Ashcraft has more than 15 years sales and marketing management experience, including over a decade of experience at Genelex bringing genetic technologies to market. She is responsible for operations, sales strategy, business development, and marketing implementation at Genelex.
Len Lewandowski, BBA, Director of Sales, possesses over 20 years of experience leading, developing and coaching field sales teams in the pharmaceutical and medical device arena across a variety of therapeutic categories. Len's primary focus is on growing sales and revenue by developing the Genelex sales organization; to help healthcare professionals understand the developing category of personalized medicine and the benefits of the YouScript Personalized Prescribing System in containing costs, and improving patient outcomes and quality of life.
Gregory Alderson, MBA, CPA, Director, has over 25 years of experience in the biotechnology and software industries. Mr. Alderson was Chairman and CEO of Invizeon Corporation, a provider of advanced communications solutions. He has served in finance, operations and marketing management roles at Microsoft, Raima, General Information, Advanced Products & Technologies and Genetic Systems. He is an outside board member for the company.
Napoleon "Evans" Calas, MBA, MT (ASCP), Board Member has extensive executive-level experience at laboratories during his 30+ year career. Calas is currently Division Vice President - Medication Monitoring at Sterling Reference Laboratories in Tacoma, WA. Until recently when Sterling was sold to a Private Equity Firm, Calas served Sterling as President/CEO and Member/Owner as Sterling's largest shareholder. Prior to joining Sterling in 2003, Calas worked for Dynacare (U.S.) as Vice President, Corporate Development and as Director of Business Development, joining Dynacare in 1995. Previously, he also held executive positions at National Health Laboratories/LabCorp, International Clinical Laboratories, and Hospital Corporation of America.
Jessica Oesterheld, MD, Medical Director, is a child psychiatrist and drug interaction expert. She has held several faculty positions and co-authored numerous scientific publications including the best selling Concise Guide to Drug Interaction Principles for Medical Practice. She has served as Medical Director of Pharmacy Management and on the Drug Utilization Committee of MaineCare. Dr Oesterheld is the primary content author of GeneMedRx responsible for expansion and maintenance of the program.
Bob Patterson, MD, Chief Information Officer, has more than 40 years experience as a psychiatrist and has been authoring software to improve patient care since 1983. He is on the attending staff of McLean Hospital and has an appointment at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Patterson is particularly interested in developing programs which help physicians make good clinical decisions including treatment algorithms, quality improvement efforts and smart charting tools. He is responsible for design, programming and maintenance of GeneMedRx’s underlying algorithm.
Bob Nebel, BS, EMBA, Controller, has more than 30 years of experience in finance and accounting management and administration. His private industry background includes architecture and engineering professional services, wholesale distribution and retail. He oversees the company's accounting department, as well as leading finance and personnel administration for Genelex. Additionally, he leads reimbursement efforts for private, Medicaid and Medicare insurance cases for DNA Drug Sensitivity Testing.
